Masticating juicers are well known for their efficiency and extraordinary production of juice. The Omega J8006 is best at accomplishing both these things. And what’s more, it comes with a whopping 15 years warranty! And the ergonomic design is wonderful to look at. Its outstanding ability to slice through even the hardest of materials makes it unique. You may be rest assured that the juicer will never get stuck midway through the juicing process, regardless of the ingredients you may have dumped into it. If in case it does get stuck, then you can tackle it quite easily with the help of the reverse direction operation. The resultant pulp is quite dry and the dual screen filtration will certainly extract maximum juice. Also, after a few days of juicing with the 8006, you will forget that foam ever graces the surface of juices.
Ease of Use
Comparatively, the Omega J8006 is quite easy to use. However, we would deduct a few points for the smaller feed chute. It is as small as your average manual juicer. You have to cut all the fruits and vegetables into small pieces before placing it on the chute. On the other hand, they would get sucked in quite easily.
All the parts of the juicer can be readily dismantled for cleaning. Essentially, there are just four parts for you to clean, namely the chute, the blade, the auger, and the collector. Just clean those parts with hot water and they would be ready for another round. However, take care that you clean the auger as soon as it is done extracting; otherwise, the residue might stick on the inside, making it very difficult to clean later.
We absolutely loved the quality of juice churned out by the J8006, and we are quite sure that you would appreciate it as well. We did not find any foam or froth production on the surface. The juice was as clear as it could get. The auto pulp ejection feature does not affect the quality in any way. The dual screen filtration ensures that the quality of the juice is optimum. The juice retains its quality longer than from most other masticating juicers.
The Omega J8006 produces a top quality yield. It has the ability to squeeze all the juice out of any fruit or vegetable at the microscopic level. It has been quite a few months since we bought the juicer for testing, and the yield has still not wavered. It is time to break your habit of conducting multiple rounds of juicing. Get the maximum efficiency in the first round itself.
We don’t really have anything to say about the power. The 2 HP motor operates at 80 RPM, which is quite normal for a masticating juicer. A bit more power would have helped.
Given the slow speed at which it operates, you may have expected the juicer to be noiseless. On the contrary, the juicer produces quite a bit of noise. Be sure to close the kitchen door while running it.
Pros and Cons
Exceptional Juice Quality.
You will be hard put to find a juicer that produces such a high quality of juice. It doesn’t let any nutrients from the fruits or vegetables escape.
Maximum Possible Juice Produced.
It squeezes every single drop out of fruits and vegetables. No matter how hard the fruit or vegetable is, it will never hesitate to give a maximum possible yield.
The juicer is made up of the strongest and the best quality materials known to mankind. It is so durable that you will not ever need to avail of the warranty for even a minor breakdown.
The primary concern in this juicer is the noise produced while it’s running. You may not need to put on your earplugs, but a continuous run would probably result in agitation.
The Auger Cleanup.
Cleaning up the auger may prove to be quite a task if it is not done as soon as the juice is produced. The residue would get stuck to the auger if it is not cleaned up in time.
Small Feed Chute.
The feed chute is quite small for a masticating juicer. You will need to chop the fruits and vegetables before placing it over the chute.
