We found the design of the juicer to be quite innovative. Admittedly, we were quite disappointed with a selected few aspects of the juicer. However, its other functions blew us away. The Breville BJE200XL is a one of a kind juicer that can effectively squeeze juice out of raw products. Unlike other similar juicers, it does not leave any solid residue in the juice, extracting only the liquid into the container. Thus, you can directly gulp down the juice after extraction without the additional need to filter it. However, you may sometimes find that the remaining pulp and other residue spew out through the lid. Hence, you need to maintain some pressure on the lid in order to avoid that from happening.
Ease of Use
Previously, with other ordinary centrifugal juicers, we needed to manually push the fruits and vegetables inside so that they could reach the blades. The BJE200XL is so smooth that it automatically pulls the fruits down, no matter how big they are. We don’t even need to chop the fruits into pieces. The juicer gobbles down the entire thing. We only needed to apply a bit of pressure on its lid.
Cleaning the juicer is a breeze, given that it is equipped with a snap locking mechanism which enabled us to remove and clean each part without much hassle. However, the first time around, a lot of residues was thrown out from the top of the juicer since we did not apply any pressure on the lid. It was a big mess that needed to be cleaned up. Ideally, the lid should have been strong enough to contain the residue, but the same can be prevented from happening by pressing the lid down during the process.
The reviews left by previous customers regarding this model proved to be true to a certain extent. The quality of the juice extracted is not downright crass. However, it is not overly refined either. The resultant juice is not entirely devoid of a circular line of foam as well. There are certainly quite a few areas of improvement when it comes to the juice quality. But considering the price of the juicer, the subtle issues with the quality can be overlooked.
The yield produced by the BJE200XL is surprisingly much more than other similar centrifugal juicers. The high power rendered by the juicer could be one of the reasons for the exceptionally high yield. However, the overall yield of the juice cannot be considered to be at par with the masticating juicers.
The BJE200XL is arguably the most powerful centrifugal juicer in the market. You will be astounded to find that the 700 Watt motor operating at over 14000 RPM cuts through vegetables and fruits relentlessly so much, so that it is no match for any other.
The BJE200XL may not be as quiet as the quietest centrifugal juicer, but it is certainly not too loud either. Given the extraordinary power of the juicer, the noise produced could be considered as negligible.
Pros and Cons
Easy to Handle.
It is a compact centrifugal juicer, the size and design of which makes it easy to carry around.
Quite a few people chose to buy this juicer only for its remarkable design. It is not designed in the conventional way. Its design also makes it quite efficient at churning up a good quantity of juice.
The 700 Watt motor operating at over 14000 RPM produces exceptionally great power. You will be hard put to find a motor as powerful as this one among centrifugal juicers
This juicer has quite a few disadvantages, but its advantages certainly outweigh them.
Compared to other similar centrifugal juicers, the yield of BJE200XL is quite mediocre. It could easily have been increased during manufacture.
The quality of the juice is a wee bit coarse and frothy. The extraordinary power may be one of the reasons why there is a lack of quality, but given the price of the juicer, such average quality could be expected.
The lid of the juicer could be improved upon in order to avoid the residue from being spit out. You almost always need to apply a bit of pressure on the lid.
